When he loses his wife to his richest client, it’s perfectly implied (at least to me – hopefully you’ll agree, but please let me know) that the client will fuel the conflict. Threatens the protag’s business practice. Robs him of his self-worth when his wife leaves for her new beau.

After further consideration (and relating back to my four page treatment I recently completed), I’m moving away from the “poor relationship skills” theme and moving more in the way of it being driven more by money issues.
