I get what you’re trying to do with the daughter turning herself into a cat to get back at the mother, but as previously noted the basic logic at the core of your concept isn’t clear. Secondly the stakes are low, what’s the worst that will happen should the cat/daughter fail to change the mother? She’ll resent her mother and learn to appreciate her only once she is an adult her self – just like 99% of teenagers now days? Point is, what else can you have happen that would increase the stakes for the cat/daughter?

Agreed with the above. One way you could differentiate it from I Love You Man, is to give her a big character flaw that would increase her obstacle of getting friends. What if your MC is a known sociopath, or better yet a former serial killer – good luck getting anyone to attend her wedding.

As it is now the logline reads more like a series of events in a typical soap - lots of melodrama very little stakes. As it is now the logline reads more like a series of events in a typical soap – lots of melodrama very little stakes. Once he learns she cheated on him and took off with the money, why does he care about her? Let her go and move on I say, more so once he (somehow) discovers the kid isn’t his. The dramatic impact is greater than the stake and therefore it comes across as melodrama not drama.

To solve this best you focus the logline, and subsequently the concept, on one goal – either he wants the wife back or the money or the kid. All the rest can be obstacles delegated to expansion in the synopsis.
