    Just so you know, the premise of being held hostage in a smart home was done 40 years ago.
    However the good news:

    1: The movie, “Demon Seed” isn’t well remembered
    2: The antagonist was a thinking computer not a person

    It’s not a bad movie and it’s based on an early work of ‘Dean R. Koonz’
    But you should know it is out there, so if anyone makes a comparison you won’t be taken off guard

    (This is a good concept and will probably be more relevant today {And scary} than it was back in the 70’s, definitely a solid idea)
