A paranoid, schizophrenic man who loves all women does everything in his power to please a dozen quirky and unique females, who may only be in a romantic relationship with him through his skewed perspective.

If the man loves all women, why does he want to please only 12? Why not please all women he meets?
What is at stake? What happens if he fails to please any or all of the 12 woman?
When you say “…who may only be in a romantic relationship with him through his skewed perspective…” are you implying that the schizophrenic man thinks the woman are in love with him, but they aren’t? Or that the woman are attracted to him because they find his schizophrenia adorable?

Calling it "a mating session" sounds as if it is prearranged -- that's one story. If you mean the two dogs met at random in the park and neither owner pulls the the leash to take their dog away -- then that is a different story. Try to make it clear in the logline which story you are going to tell.

On the other hand, if you say the boy was kidnapped by an “alien”, then we might imagine the boy has to be saved before the alien’s perform nefarious experiments on the poor lad. Also, if the boy is taken by monsters, the man must be a warrior type to succeed, if the boy is taken by aliens, the father can be an office worker who succeeds by being clever. It depends upon how you want to develop the story.
