Hello, this is an interesting context, but where does the conflit which fuels the movie come from? In what specific way the reality show affects the rivalry between the two candidates?

The conflict arises in that they are campaigning against each other for the same office.

I like the concept but ?at this ?point my buy in is only 50%. ?What I think the concept needs is a good inciting incident for WHY they must campaign together. ?Figure that out and I think you have a winner.

(And please, please, please don’t make both of them men. ?That is is so old fashioned and predictable. ?Join the 21st Century — and add more possibilities for conflict and comedy –?by making at least one of them a woman. ?Or make both of them women. Or one a woman, and one a transgender…. just not both of them as men.)

Well clearly their goal is to win the election, but is there anything else you can give them?

What I mean is the obstacles, which are what make the story interesting, seem rather small. The fact that they’re sharing a car will create some conflict but no additional obstacle than if they were in separate vehicles.

I presume they would be sharing the same campaign bus. ?The question (inciting incident, again) is WHY must they share the same bus? ?(And why a bus instead of a plane?)?

Midwestern Congressman versus East Coast Senator doesn’t suggest much potential for comedic conflict. ?Given the polarized nature of US politics these days, it might be better to match them up on the basis of political ideologies ?rather than regional differences. ?Like one’s an unapologetic Socialist, the other is a unreconstructed Libertarian.
