Interesting logline. The phrase 'finds his inner genius' is the key to this story and we need to know how and why to make us interested in seeing this film. Why does he have an inner genius? It feels like a comedy but you need to clarify this more in the logline.

From a sympathy point of view it is a balancing act to get the audience to root for someone just out for revenge, unless he is also clearly saving people from further hardship.

The relationship with the automated companion is what brings Doug to final get to the truth. It is the catalyst needed where previously he had been held back by his mental frailties.
