    1) I am not seeing anything standing in the producers way. You should give us an obstacle.
    2) The corrupt producer seems unlikable, why should the audience root for him as the lead character?
    3) In fact I would propose you tell the story from the POV of one of the songwriters he stole a song from instead of having the corrupt record producer as the lead.

    However I think you do have a good idea, with some changes I believe your logline will reflect that promise.

    After escaping from a galactic penal colony, seven prisoners find their bid for freedom has turned into a battle for their survival when they must outwit and out manoeuvre a psychopathic android with holographic, shape shifting abilities intent on re-enacting the twisted deaths he has watched in old horror movies.
