You should write the entire logline from the perspective of the lead character

“When her uncle, the village wizard, is kidnapped by his power hungry brother, an accident-prone apprentice must…”

Also, while trusting her abilities makes for a good inner storyline, you should concentrate on what the character must do outwardly to save the uncle, and keep the inner goal for the script.

You could say that Luke Skywalker must learn to trust the force but in the logline you would concentrate on ?how he must save a princess held captive by an evil dark Jedi with the help of a lovable rogue and a wise wizard.

The inner story of Star Wars is Luke trusting the force, the outer story is him saving a princes and destroying the Deathstar.

After a childhood encounter with a haunted house, two best friends use their extensive knowledge of all things paranormal to provide enthusiastic, yet extremely unorthodox, investigative services to others experiencing the supernatural, much to the dismay of those they are determined to help.

Is there an over arching storyline for the first season? like in Supernatural, they want to find their father. There are individual episodes but overall they have a season long goal? If this is true for your tv script I would try to add that element to the logline.

—A nerdy college student encountering a lost hitchhiker from a parallel Earth leads him to love found, love lost and a struggle to find his love again. So what if she isn?t human.—

In the latest attempt, your lead character isn’t pro-active but is led by the cat woman. If this were the case that would make the cat woman the lead character.

However, if we stick with the college student as the lead, then I would recommend adding to the logline specifically what he must do.

Must the lead get the cat woman to a specific place where the walls between dimensions are thin?
Must the lead break into his own college science lab and get a scientific do-hickey so she can build a portal?
Must the lead seek out a reclusive astral physicist who can help them create the portal?

Specifically what must the lead do to achieve the goal of helping the cat woman back to her dimension? (And what is standing in the way)
