There was a wonderful movie “Can’t hardly wait” where the lead character spends the entire movie at a party attempting to tell the girl of his dreams he is in love with her. Every time he tries he is interrupted or something happens to stop him.

My guess is your movie would be the gay version of that, How about this for an attempt: (Obviously yours will be different)

1: By bug collector, you must mean he is in the island collecting Butterflys. He has a net and he runs around the island trying to catch them but he is bad at it, he is a bad bug collector, then there is a viral release.

2: Also not sure what you mean by a ‘Dead Zone’ is this connected to the Stephen King book, “The Dead Zone”

3: Finally I am assuming a pop star accidentally releases a video of her new song and it “Goes Viral” There is an accidental viral release on the Island.

(I guess the next question, what is it the inept butterfly collector must do about the accidental viral release of the video, enter the ‘dead zone’ and kill the singer while she is still a child?)
