On the brink of instantaneous cloning technology a physicist makes a deal with an old friend for the key to his theory in return for a clone of his wife, but when the cloning goes wrong and his wife begins to forget who he is he must find her clone and decide which version deserves to live.

Hello, I like a lot the idea at the core of the logline, but the logline is not clear (I read it many times and I’m still not sure about who do what)- You have 4 characters, the main character is the physicist. The role of the old friend is not very clear: what is this “key” that he has? Does the friend want a clone of his own wife (to have two wives) or (I think) does he want a clone of the pysicist’s wife? In this latter case this should be better said. I like this: A scientist needs the help of an old friend to accomplish clonation but the friend asks for a clone of the scientist’s wife as a reward. I assume the 2 were rivals in love, this is an interestig backstory material. I don’t like the stealing of the technology, I don’t think it fits this story. I think you should think about generate the conflict in the movie and the goal of the main character. The goal of clonation is not compelling enough (and clonation is accomplished very soon in the movie so you can’t build the story on it). I repeat, I like a lot the very perverse deal who push the scientist to clone his own wife to “give her” to his friend, this can lead to a very powerful context. Try to answer to your premise in order to find what fits the best with your theme: “what if a scientist creates a clone of his own wife to secure the help of his old friend- who has always been in love with her?”
See lessWhen a heartbroken virgin is seduced and humiliated by a movie star she decides to take matters into her own hands.
Hello, "she decides to take matters into her own hands" is too vague in my opinion, I have no clue about what will happens in the movie.
