Who is fighting in the war, and how is the lead character involved?

For instance, “When her brother is killed in a war between the crips and bloods, a midwestern girl is determined to stop the gang war before more are innocents are killed”

Because as written I have no idea if the war is, aliens versus humans? Or Mexico attacking the midwest? Or a secret war between vampires and werewolves.

It would help if you added to your logline what your lead character needs to save his daughter from?

Is he saving her from drug addiction?

Is he saving her from a gang that terrorizes the neighborhood?

Is he saving her from a demonic doll?

Is he saving her from an abusive relationship?

Is he saving her from a rogue elf from a different dimension?

If you say the lead character needs to save his daughter, you should also add what he needs to save her from. Just a word or two.

Why? How did they get the goal to go back in time to help George Washington Why does it matter to them? What are the stakes if they lose, after all we won the war without the help of the two navy seals, so what are the stakes of they don't accomplish their goal?
